What's a best way to wash a pair of dirty sneakers? I have Tommy Hilfigers.
Give me some info in getting rid of the odor.

Well don´t get rid of them just yet, you can wash them in the machine ,but I think this waste´s the shoes. If you have or buy some good old fashioned bar soap for washing clothes great this cleans the sneaker´s or trainer´s very well, okay you have to do a little extra hard work ,but once you see the result it´s all worth while. Soak your shoes in warm water or cold add the soap leave free from the water 1/2-1hr. then back to the water give a good scrub, rinse then hang out to dry . If this is not possible as some people live in flats & don´t have gardens, then here is a trick that works to get them dry super quick. Fill the inner sole of your shoes with normal rice , then stuff as many clothes or old rags inside the shoe, leave like this in a warm place over night , and you wil be surprised to see how quick they have dried. Another thing, sometimes it´s not the actual shoe that smells it the insole,so you can replace them, your local chemist can suggest the best for your feet

I am assuming the sneakers you are talking about are leather? First grab an old toothbrush and some dish liquid, run some water gently over the top and along the sides of the shoe careful not to get water on the insides. Take the toothbrush with a little dish liquid and begin brushing around the top and sides in a brisk motion. If a tooth brush is too small, I'm sure a larger brush will do. Be sure to take the shoe strings out and soak them in mild detergent and maybe a little bleach if the laces are white, if colored then use bleach for colors. When finished rinse all the water off and then use an old towel to dry. And for the odor you can spray the inside with febreze and pull the tongue of the shoe out so the shoes can air out. If the shoes still doesn't come clean put them in the washer on a regular cycle with detergent and a little bleach then air dry.

Fill a sink with water and let your shoes soak for at least a few hours ... make sure you take the shoelaces out and put them in the water as well. This will gently clean your shoes without harming them ... if they're really bad, mix a small amount of bleach in ... not too much, so it won't fade your shoes.

I also seem to remember when I was a kid, my mom throwing shoes in the washer ... I don't know if this is still recommended ...
