Most people will be very polite as this is their culture. Some people will be curious and want to practice English with you because they don't often get the oppourtunity. Maybe someone might want to date you simply because you are foreign.

The saddest part is in Japan its hard to make a real friend if your are foreign because to them you are and will always be- a gaijin. Don't be overly impressed with the politeness, its just what it is. It isn't because they truly like you or want to really be your friend. Do however, treat everyone with respect and politeness and you will get very far and perhaps meet with people who are sincere.

Take care :)

do no longer difficulty approximately it. you will no longer appear as if an entire fool. you may seem diverse yet no longer fool. i'm optimistic some ppl stare at you, yet do no longer take it very own, besides the reality that that's confusing. some ppl stare using fact the two they have not seen afro hair or many foreigners. Ppl would ask the way you look after your hair type even. on the different hand, different ppl will think of that's cool which you have an afro. a good number of jap secretly ought to make acquaintances with foreigners yet don't be attentive to the thank you to speak to you. heavily. go Yahoo Chiebukuro, and you will see questions like "the place am i able to fulfill ppl from diverse worldwide places" or "how am i able to make acquaintances with foreigners" etc. wish you will choose a good time in Japan.

I doubt it. I went to Japan in the 80's with the Air Force Reserve. When I went out on the town the people were wonderfully polite and helpful I suggest you act humble and grateful. Don't be an arrogant American.

If they do, tell them your right hand is Fat Man and your left hand is Little Boy and that their face is Hiroshima and their @$$ is Nagasaki.
