I have had six kids--breastfed each of them, and I go with or without a bra as seems fit to me in that moment. My breasts are just fine and look lovely with or without a bra.
Bras are not a symbol of domination, but they do pinch, increase body heat/sweating in warm weather, etc. I really dislike wearing them, but I concede to do so if it helps my clothing look better in a social situation.
My wearing/not wearing a bra has nothing to do with Male Dominance.
Derovious, it's really sad the way you comment on something that you have no experience with--have you ever even seen your Mommy's bra on the clothesline?
PS: If what you say is so, why is there no testicle support garments for men? Some of the old guys at the pool are pretty frightening.
Empirical, Shempirical.
Good Luck

Only in your mind if you want to think of it that way.
As for me, I used to be an A cup and now I am a C(naturally), and I have a whole new appreciation for bras.

Actually, the brassiere was originally invented to free women from corsets, which clearly WERE a symbol of oppression. In a way, therefore, bras can be considered a sign of liberation. I just wish they could make them a bit more comfortable, especially for those of us who REALLY need them.

no! bra's are a means to make women feel more comfortable with themselves i think. how can most women feel secure when they're flopping around? some people don't like wearing them and they don't have to. however, most people choose to wear them. also, from what i found, the bra was invented by a woman (below reference). it was created to aid woman. like pads or tampons. would someone argue that they are a symbol of male domination? or birth control? pants? hair scrunchies? no. that's b/c they aid woman. they are useful.

I personally do not care for the girls to be hanging freely throughout the day...they need all the support they can get!

i like my bra, wouldn't leave home without it!
i think it is a support issue for many women (the more ample ones specifically). like a good pair of running shoes, it prevents pain & discomfort, not to mention stretching of ligaments. without a good bra i get severe back pain (that's how i tell that i NEED a new one!)
but if i didn't need the support, i wouldn't wear one nearly as much. they can be SO uncomfortable at times, with the digging & the poking & the shifting....

You should do what pleases you, but beware of those perverts who are just itching to get a look at your breast. If you dont mind them looking, then yea it's probably ok. My girlfriend likes to go natural, and I said that she is free to do what she wants, (I think its sexy as hell). Just be shure to wear a sports bra in gym, cause, according to her, its a little hard to run with them jiggling around. I hope this helps.

I think you'll have droopy, unattractive breasts by the time you're 30; and it will be one more reason for guys not to be interested in you.
Bras have nothing to do with men, as can be seen with the intricateness of the latching mechanism being a constant thwart of many a young man. They are to a womans benefit really, having a considerable mass acting as inertia weights when free swinging is going to do a number on your back as well as balance. Having them brought up closer to the body and held in place reduces these effects.
EDIT: Cora:
I am speaking from a completely physics-analytical position, personal attacks are not required. Having a womans breasts left unsupported will stretch the skin, end of discussion. Any weight being suspended for an indefinite amount of time will amount to a deformation.
Beyond this, I see no real argument to what I've said besides what you've experienced (And last I checked, analytical considerations trump empirical observations of a woman whose had 6 children, and who admits to having no ill effects. You are either a very stocky woman, or a liar. Breast swelling from hormone fluctuations causing you to lactate, permenantly altering your breasts, as a very simple example.)
EDIT of the EDIT:
There is, its called a jock strap. There are always forms of mens underwear affectionately refered to as "tightly whities" that keep the scrotum up against the body and out of harms way. Moreover, the men who like to "hang/swing low" are found to be less fertile than those who keep their giggle berries up tight to the abdomen, which not only reinforces my previous statement, but makes you look like a tool.

doubt it, women just look better without all that jiggling, in public.
wouldnt suggest it at work or walkin round big cities cause then youre just askin for eyeballin and it could keep you from looking professional. yea when in casual situations at home or with friends, fine. lots of women would like to have enuf to fill out a bra!
someday tho i think theyr gonna find that bras cause women back problems later in life, and underwire bras are bad for women too. for all we know, people whose cultures go without bras more often have lower breast cancer rates. but since those cultures have some many other variables, i dont know how researchers would be able to tease out the bra issue from other lifestyle diffrences. good luck

I think you should do what makes you feel comfortable -- I am more comfortable in my bras (it takes me weeks to find one I like and is comfortable). Really I don't think it has anything to do with men.
