It's all in the presentation! They might take it better if it's presented in a non confrontational way, where they are not obligated to give an immediate reaction, or to defend their viewpoint on the subject.

You know them like none of us can, so only you can come up with a good way to do that.

I would suggest something like the following; Some weekend when you plan to be away from home, and things are going well between you and them, you might send them a nice bouquet of flowers with a greeting card telling them how much you appreciate the way they've always loved you and supported you and encouraged you to be yourself. then you explain that after trying it their way and agonizing over it and giving it very careful consideration, and trying it both ways, you have to be true to yourself, and this is how it is. Then you tell them. This breaks it to them gently in a non confrontational setting allowing them to come to grips with it, and their feelings about it, and gives them a chance to talk to each other about it before they have to respond to you.Good luck!

Possibly.

They'll likely ask questions as to whether or not you're sexually active with both sexes, as opposed to mere attraction. If you have a religious family, they may point out the "error" of being bi. They might think you're gay.

I don't know how old you are, but you might consider whether you're bi, or bi-curious. If you're not sure about that yet, you might wish to put off the discussion with your parents.

One of the problems we have in society today is the necessity to define one's sexuality early. Personally, I don't think that's a great way to do things. I think it's much more beneficial to find out who you are first, and not worry about the label. Still, even young people seem pressured to do so.

If you're still young, why brand yourself with a label just yet. If you're older, then you probably already know how your parents will react, and whether or not it's even best to tell them.

One last thing. Many people prefer a managomous relationshiop. Perhaps being bi is simply a more open way to find out just who you might wish to spend your life with, and a more honest way of acknowledging that anyone might be able to fall in love with another person regardless of sex or gender.

They probably already know. Can't hide much from the ones who raised ya.

Just be honest, no need to jump up and announce it at dinner, but if you bring a friend home, just act normal and if the parents ask, be truthful.

They love you and want you to be happy most of all.

They might freak, they might not. My only advice would be to tell them because you want to, not because you feel obligated to or because you're secretly hoping they will freak ;-)

What are your parents like? Do they like bribes? I would do a weeks worth of chores and then tell them.

Do you HAVE to tell them? They may well work it out for themselves, depends on your parents. Would they want to know.
