For my English class, i have to pick 12 songs that relate to the themes, setting, and conflict of the book Ender's Game. We need examples saying how the song relates to the book. If you have read it...please help =D

Although it's been much over-played the song Bad Day by Daniel Powter I think is very applicable to Ender and his sad life. He's always being manipulated into doing things he doesn't want to do.

Perhaps "Fields of Innocence" by Evanescence...again capturing Ender and his disillusionment...

S.O.S. by Good Charlotte...again Ender

"World" by Five For Fighting...I think this song could relate to the epilogue where Ender makes a new beginning and comes to rewrite history and his part in it with his books that become the *new* religion of sorts.

"Born to Lead" by Hoobastank could be more for after Ender's Game...but it's sort've the philosphy of most battle-school graduates after the war in space is over...hence all the turmoil on Earth as each returns to their own country.

Unwell by Matchbox20 (Ender)

I absoulutely love that book...but that's kind of a tricky question. One that came to mind:

"It's Not Easy to be Me" Five For Fighting - it illustrates the difficulties of being both 'human' and also a 'hero'...this would particularly relate to Ender's difficulties at the end of the book when he's organizing the attacks on the Buggers (but also reflects his inability to 'mingle' with the other students and have friends the way that the other students do).

I'll have to think about some others...
