My sister has Nintendogs and I have tried it. The game seems really fun and realistic. The graphics are pretty good, and it has some really cool features.
You can wash, pet, and play with your dog. You can also use the microphone to teach it tricks, its name, etc. Also, you can enter your dog in competitions such as obedience competitions, catching competitions, etc.
The game looks really fun and I'd recommend it. Playing multiplayer would be really fun! Good luck!

I have only played New Super Mario Bros on my sister's DS, it's a pretty good game.

Nintendogs is the better game. Perhaps you should play Brain Age or the Brain Boost games; they may aid your speech impediment.
