I know it's a little pathetic. And my husband is against it...
but I am thinking of having my eyes done. Just some resurfacing. (I have laugh lines). The world is very looksist. And, frankly, I have always been able to use charm when wit failed. I worry about aging. So... have any of you had "touch ups" or plan to?

No way and I'm 53 and still looking good and probably will never look bad enough to do something fake and risky like plastic surgery.
There is such a thing as too vain, too shallow and opposite that allowing yourself to age gracefully!
Try using a good quality face cream at night and during the day maybe that would help you.
Besides your not even 40 yet, you start now and you will be re-doing it every 5-8 years and once you do it your skin loosen and sags easier and wrinkles come on faster due to all the damage surgery does to your skin,
tendons, muscles and nerves.
But I guess it is really really important that you don't have laugh lines,,,,,,,,,,,,right!

Nope I am 39 and I have always been told I look younger anyway. I think aging is natural I think of the line in Desiderata
"Grow old gracefully, surrendering the things of youth."
I have been with my husband since 24 if he is not tired of my looks then I am happy!

Yes, but I was 14 when it was done. My parents had me go through it to fix some deformities on my face.
I'm 48 now.
