In my own experience they do not return back to normal after child birth. At first I just had light periods monthly after I had my daughter but now she is almost 4 and for the past year I have had hardly any periods at all. If I do I usually bleed for a few hours for one day and thats it. I asked my doctor about and she told me it was perfectly fine. Just to be on the safe side, I would ask a doctor but they may tell you the same thing.

Your period should return to normal after childbirth but since you are breastfeeding, that may put it off for a few more months. Lately you've been breastfeeding on and off...that may be the reason why your body and your period is a little off or a little out of whack. The BEST thing to do is to go see your OB-GYN to make sure everything is okay and normal. It's better to seek professional opinion and let them answer your questions rather than speculate what could be causing your symptoms.

If you haven't been using birth control, then yes, you could be pregnant. Nursing mothers often experience irregular periods while they are nursing until the baby stops once and for all. If you're concerned, take a pregnancy test. If you're not ready for another baby yet, by all means use birth control.

take a home pregnancy test to find out right away.....i dont believe in using breat feeding as a birth control method......also, periods do change over your lifetime....and could be different now that youve had a child. first thing to do is take a pregnancy test, then talk to your gyno just to make sure everything is ok....which im sure it is.
