Whoever it was who acted as a role model seems to have not been that great in the grammar department...

That's a huge time span. I would say that BT (before TV) the role models would have been the mother and relatives. AT (after TV) the role models would of course have expanded. Try this: Browse the toy section and consider what sorts of toys are being marketed to young girls. Marketing is probably the greatest influence on everyone nowadays.

Edith Bolling, Amelia Earhart, Louise Brooks, Ida Tarbell, Clara Barton, Shirley Temple, Helen Keller, Annie Oakley, Laura Ingles Wilder, Gloria Steinem, Janice Joplin, Rosa Parks, Jackie O, Annie Leibovitz, Grace Kelly, Sally Ride, Madonna, Princess Di......
We have celebutarts for role models today. Too bad.
Now you have to connect the dots on the women, their lives and their influence on young girls! Best of luck on your assignment! :)

There are too many role models to choose from over the past 107 years - Can't possibly list all of them, but here are some categories.
First Ladies -Because, they usually have a cause that they feel strongly about, Just say no, Health care, etc.
Politicians - Because they are in the public eye and are women in roles of leadership
Olympic Athletes - They have influence because they are strong, determined and healthy.
Artists (including performers)
Activists (like Rachel Carson, Betty Friedan, or Margaret Sanger) - Their cause makes them speak out, they are powerful and brave.
Authors (Anne Frank, Barbara Kingsolver, or Toni Morrison) - Creativity and intelligence.
Fictional Characters (Nancy Drew, Lisa Simpson, or Wonder women) - Entertaining and often problem solvers.

There are young women that aspire to be a 'wag' which by way of definition is merely the spouse or female buddy of a soccer participant, rather young women could desire to have greater self properly worth and function greater effective possibilities than merely this. And 5 gcse's with grades a-c are the minimum predicted for going on to varsity or 6th form, so its no longer often a large success, its quite, the bare minimum. i think of infants could desire to have greater effective place fashions that mirror somebody that has worked difficult and has no longer compromised themselves with the intention to get there.

Whoever the hot, teenage male star of the day was. The DiCaprio of their time. Think about it. Who do teen girls spend their time dreaming about? Depressing thought, after all those poor idiotic Radical Feminists' work. Goils will be goils.
