I would like to know what kind of marketing/advertising you did to sell your work, or if you had a publisher, what they did. I would prefer answers from people that have sold 10,000 or more books in a single year.

If you want to sell that many books in a year, you MUST go through the major publishers in NYC. None of the small publishers have that kind of sales.

Unfortunately, NYC is closed to all but the very best and even those have to have a top agent in order to get in the door. Even with number of great authors who are dying off or retiring, there's still no room for an unknown who doesn't have an agent.

Good luck in finding one. I'm with the small publishers because I can build my reputation there before trying NYC again.

If you think you can "sell" a bad book then youre wrong. And beginning at the wrong end. First and last try to write a good story. Then find anyone of your friends to read it. If they say its a good story then you can start talking buisness.

A good story sells it selves! Johan
