My kitchen sink is a little stinky. I heard you should pour vinegar down it, will that damage my pipes?

Vinegar is another one of the "Wonder Cleaners" that aren't labled for cleaning! It is great for that! Do like everyone said though and throw some baking soda down it first! If you have kids, dont forget to let them watch....my two think it is the coolest!!!!

BTW....There is actually a website that says all of the little known stuff you can do with vinegar. Its great B/C vinegar is so cheap! http://www.versatilevinegar.org/usesandtips.html

Hope this helps!

I use vinegar all the time, especially if I clean greasy dishes, when I'm finished I pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain, it won't only help with the odor but it will keep the pipes clean. You can also add 1/2cup of baking soda, if you have any clogs.

No damage will be done. Try adding a little baking soda first, then add the vinegar, follow with a kettle of boiling water.

You've gotten good advice. In addition, if you have a
garbage disposal, let it "eat" some orange peels.
The citrus has a cleaning effect --and there's the
bonus of a great aroma.

No, it won't. You can also use baking soda - a nice, foamy mess!
