It's not all that bad, it's a little more painful and drawn out than than an earpiercing. Don't worry about the initail pierce, you want to make sure they use a clean needle and that you clean it properly with Bactine everyday. An infection will hurt a lot more than getting it done. Don't be nervous, it's well worth it, you'll love it!

Leave the ice for later... I would suggest taking 2 painkillers half an hour before the piercing... should help minimise the pain.

heyy dont use the ice trust me...i got mine pierced and it dident hurt at all besides whats the ice ganna do?? besides you dont really feel the needle b.c the clamp is on so tight that its mostly just pressure...i thought it was ganna hurt like so bad tht i was ganna cry but it was fine....im not ganna be like ooh it dosent hurt at all..casue it kinda does and i dont wanna lie to you. but trust me the after effects are great...just when you clean it dont use like cotton swabs or anyting b.c peices of it could get caught and posobly infect it. and also wash it everyday/in the shower. and in about 4 to 5 weeks you can change it..if you have any questions about the piercing just e-mail me at

No pain -- no gain! Take a Advil or Extra Strength Tylenol 1 hour before you go. Then if you want and they approve -- you can put some numbing liquid on your spot (they put it on kids before they get their blood drawn).

No it wont help when I had my done I took pain killers before and plus the next day it hurts more.
