I have registered with reputable agencies but the phone never rings; are agencies full of it?

Some agencies are full of it. I don't know what is going on either, but it is March and my phone only rang once from one of the agencies. I registered for 4 and only one calls me.The economy is too high that is why it is difficult finding a job where I want to work.Hang in there. Something is bound to happen.

yes the agencies are full of it.u should ring companies personally..lot of jobs are found through friends ...the old saying its who u know sure works.if any of your friends work for a great company.get them to pass on your resume to someone in the company that does the employing.

my partner was out of work for 6 months.he finally got a job because his friend gave in his details to his boss.he now works for nestle.by applying through agencies he was getting nowhere.

good luck.dont give up

Depends on the job market in your area (local and careerwise)...

If a lot of people are out looking for jobs, sometimes it will take days even weeks to find employment. Also, effected is pay scale if the market has many options.

It may be a number of things. You may need to re-vamp your resume; apply for positions in various fields, etc.,

Good Luck

contact large companies HR departments directly and simply ask them what jobs they are hiring for outside the company- ask them if you can submit a resume.
