I just had my 1987 Buick LeSabre fuel pump replaced and they charged me $500 bucks for it...does this price seem reasonable??? Thanks-

Depends what the price of the pump was.. They can be anywhere from $25 to $300. There is usually about 2 hours of labour unless the fuel tank straps had to be replaced.. Can't really tell without cost of parts but it doesn't sound too far off.

The fuel pump cost 20-30 bucks which means labor should be about 100 bucks so yes they ripped u off it only takes about 30 min

Not even reasonable. That means they charged you about 400 for labor on a 30 min job. Tell everyone so they don't go there. Report them to the better business bureau

Pump at Auto Zone about $93.00 plus tax 30 minutes to put it on even rounded to full hour $50.00 total plus 15% mark up on parts and tax $169.89

you can buy one for around $100 guess 400% labor is a rip off...........
