I am confused about image copyrights. Like lets say I find a image of a red bunny on the internet, but I save the image and change the color to purple - is that now an original image? Would I have to worry about copyright stuff? What if I took two copyrighted graphics like of a bunny and a cat and combine them to make a logo? Would I have copyright problems then?

Think of it this way - you take the Mona Lisa and colour it differently.

Is that image yours - no. Is that image original - no

If you draw something that is a recognisable facsimile of the Mona Lisa then that work is yours (imagine say a drawing of the Mona Lisa in an episode of the Simpsons).

You can't do anything with any copyrite images to make them yours - that's the point of copywrite, to protect the originator of a piece of work - just as I'm sure you'd like to be protected from people stealing your work.

There are plenty of images out there though that you can use - thats the point of stock photography, you have to pay for it but you're paying for the right to use it freely and manipulate it and use it in any way you wish (within reason).

"For example, the copyright which subsists in relation to a Mickey Mouse cartoon prohibits unauthorized parties from distributing copies of the cartoon or creating derivative works which copy or mimic Disney's particular anthropomorphic mouse, but does not prohibit the creation of artistic works about anthropomorphic mice in general, so long as they are sufficiently different to not be imitative of the original. In some jurisdictions, copyright law provides scope for satirical or interpretive works which themselves may be copyrighted. Other laws may impose legal restrictions on reproduction or use where copyright does not - such as trademarks and patents."

Did you get that? Even if you change the color you would be breaking copyright laws. However, you are able to manipulate the picture and make it your own only under certain circumstances like a parody.

Hell, he knew he grow to be busted and as commonplace attempted to spin it. Now he's in Missouri pulling the standard intimidation stunts. nicely, if it have been me, and that i've got been McCain, i could have the united statescriminal expert for Missouri finding out Obama and pondering costs for unlawful use of a state organisation.
