I stand up for the cultures and languages of other people and I think that forced assimilation in the United States is wrong. Children will learn English but they shouldn't be forced and told that they native language is useless. Children have an identity and part of that identity is their language. I stand up for the wronged!
I especially get sappy when it involves old folks. I remember scolding a coffeeshop because they totally ignored this poor old man who was trying to order his drink for more than 20 minutes! That was when I started hollering at them.

I don't think children from countries other than the US should be denied to the right to a good home, loving parents and happiness by US citizens or citizens of any other country. Children are children and if people want to adopt "non american" children that is their choice.
