When my son was in high school I bought a used Bach trumpet from an add in the local newspaper. If it is a starter instrument just check the adds in the paper; kids are all the time quiting band. Also, if you have pawn shops in your area they may have instrument too. Good luck.

the best place to get any kind of instrument is at a music shop. look in your local phone book and NEVER EVER buy from a chain store like Walmart or some other of the sort and eBay can be good but there is no guarantee to the condition of the instrument and if you have every thing you need

With prepare you would be positive.
