Paperclips b/c sometimes I staple the wrong papers together. Paperclips also do not put any holes in anything.

I staple them. And then I put the paperclip in place.

for me paperclips. for my 10 year old daughter, staples. she would probably still lose the papers with paperclips. interesting question.

it depends....what papers and for what purpose... Paperclips are a great alternative to a stapler..but Id much prefer using staples

I LOVE paper clips. Staples are for busters. They get the page corners all bent when you read them.
