I think they hate me. The kids in my African American studies class totaly hate me. I think that they hate me because I have a differnet opionion about things. I want them to like me. How do I do this?

Be yourself. You can't please everyone. If you want to please somebody, start with that winner looking back at you in the mirror.

Brandish a gun.
You don't want to make people like you. Be an individual and throw out different views. If everyone was a 'head-nodder" and "yes man" then some of the brightest ideas would never have happened. You want to create an atmosphere of debate in a class to elicit some ideas, even if you play devils advocate.

The only way to be liked at your age is to go along with everyone else and not be different. Teenagers like mirrors of themselves.
But, guess what? It all changes in college!
You will be able to express your opinions, wear what you want, fix your hair your own way, and people will not hate you for it. They will be intrigued by you.

Well you can either be a leader or a follower, thats your choice in life.
You have the right to express yourself. They hated me in school too, but they never fazed me EVER. I see most of them working at fast food joints right now, and not doing much constructive.
The followers are just that, followers. There is no way to go for them but horizontal.
Express yourself, be true to yourself and you will be at peace with you.

They need to learn what this means and to apply it in their lives..........."agree to disagree"
It's ok to have differences and they need to respect your point of view, as you respect theirs.

For real. they my not hate you because of what your opinion is. Maybe just because you try so hard to express it all the time.
Im just guessing, not judging. There is always one in every class. Maybe this time its you.
