i just want a card of my son and lots of hugs and kisses (he's only 9). i just got my mum a mug and teddy as she hates me spending money on her as i can't afford much. She tells me not to bother on b'days, christmas's etc - but i always do. I,m in the u.k and it's on sunday, i think some of the answers may be from the u.s?

Mother's Day is in May but the 18th of March is 'Mothering Sunday' in the UK. Is that where you live? I don't celebrate it then. However, I usually get my mom some flowers and a nice card for Mother's Day in May. Cheers!

I would love it if i could stay in bed for longer that morning and my partner do all the mammy stuff for the day! I suppose i could call it a day off! For my mam, i'm giving her a voucher for clothes from her fav shop and will probably spend the evening with her and a few bottles of wine when my little man and my little sister are gone to bed. I love my mam, she's the best!

Mothers day is in May.......not March.

I am not a mother, but I will do something nice for my mom...
like maybe spend the day with her.....take her to lunch and a movie or sometimes my brother will have a Mothers day BBQ and invite the moms over........ in which case, I will just
give her a card and a small gift, but I will still spend the day at my brothers

I took my kids to a craft fair last weekend when I had to really try hard to not notice what they were buying for me! Anything they chose themselves is very welcome.

My mum has barred me from buying her anything, but I have a card and am planning picking some daffs and spending a lot of time with her. Will also visit my gran, so we'll have the four generations together!

Unfortunately I have no children and I lost my mom 8 years ago so I won't be getting anything for myself and just a nice bunch of flowers to put at the side of my moms photograph because I can't give them to her in person.
