my international business class is wanting to do a study abroad trip to costa rica which is awesome, but we have to do some serious fundraising if we dont want to pay over $2,000 per student out of our own pockets, so we need some ideas of fundraising that you have done that has worked great for you! thank you so much...

For my b-ball team we all brought stuff and had a huge garage sale we got alot of money, everyone brought stuff and asked their friends to bring stuff. It was fun.
Some of ideas are
-Car Wash
-Bake Sale
-Raffle Drawing
-Selling Sodas at car wash and garage sell always gets more money also
-Bingo

Well, obviously not carwashing; i have tried to start a carwash program to help fundraising but no luck. Try adding a food stand to something, Our customers loved the idea of fruit; So they started to buy fruit and not do a carwash. What we did was add a sighn that said "If you let us wash your car you get half off of fruit" and another sighn that said "carwash $10.00 fruit 10 per lb. Or how ever much it was. and customers started to roll in. But thats just the way it is where i live so i'm not sure what to do for you. Maybe a pet program like washing and brushing them, walking and letting them drink after the walk. Or maybe just a food stand at the park.
Try adding a few $0.25 cent activities for the cusomers untill their car is done in the car wash. At the food stand give drinks and food.

Car washes work really well. If the scouts and all the big groups do them, they must be good!
Many gas stations will allow you to do them there, for free...and let you use their water.
Get some cute girls to hold out the signs. take just soap, buckets and a sponge, you are all set.

raffle tickets - its called a 50/50
The winner gets 50% of the winnings and the other 50% goes to the "house".
Sell them for 20.00 a ticket. 200 tickets sold & you would have your money & the winner would also get 2,000.00

slient auctions work well. if you go out and let companies know what you're doing, they are usually willing to donate services or goods. based off that, you organize your auction. make sure that you have reserves on really nice items.

give blow jobs on the corner, or do a car wash and sell some refreshments, throw a keg part and charge everyone to come in
