I really like "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas" so I began reading "Fear and Loathing On the Campaign Trail:72"

But that was very political and I get enough of that everywhere I go, I don't want to read a book about it.

Did Thompson write any other good humerous books about drugs that I would I would enjoy?

Thompson's aim was to go on a journey to find the heart of the American dream. He wasn't making any moral or political points, he just wanted to find out whether this 'mythical' dream existed. He could have gone anywhere, but he chose Las Vegas. I've seen both the film and read the book, and the book is far superior. The book is an American classic. To find out whether Thompson found what he was looking for, I suggest you read the book.

"The Rum Diary" and various biographies written about him (Perry, and E. Jean Carroll) are pretty amusing.
