I said the following to the GM of a LARGE automotive plant; it was my 4th interview after 3 months:
"The more I have gotten to know about your company over these past 3 months, the more I see how disorganized you are. On top of that, your pay is low and your benefits are bad. An annual bonus means nothing to me, since they are never guaranteed, nor can they pay my monthly bills.
For my next job, I am going to be an outstanding Engineering Manager. I don't see that happening here.
So my question to you is, why on earth would I want to work here?"
Would you believe I got an offer the next day? I didn't take it, since I got a much better offer from another company the week before.

Answer with the truth, but if you don't have a truth then lie!
Talk about the ethos of the company, are they ecologically aware, how do they treat their staff, is there a good possibility of training and support etc. If you know someone that works there ask them. If not check out the website or advertising to find out about them.
Don't mention money or benefits, and think about why you want to work there.

I'm assuming the question here is how do you handle that question. First you need to do your research on the position you are applying for and the company itself. You need to have some interest in what you will be doing or you will get board and they know that. Thats why employers ask that question, to see if you know anything about the company or the position. They want to know what you are going to bring to the company.

The only answer to a question like this is the truth. There must be something about this employer/job that attracted you. Discuss that. If you can give me some indication of what those were, then perhaps we can come up with something more specific for you to say.

Be truthful, but make sure to include the value that you will add to their business (ie: self-sufficient, trustworthy, hard worker, passionate about product, etc.). Show them more of what you can do for them in your answer rather than why you want the job because they probably already have a good idea as to why.
Good luck!

I've heard a lot of good things about your company and would like to be a part of it so I can also grow with you and share my experience and knowledge to make your company be the best.
