You can sleep in whatever position makes you most comfortable. Of course there are always things that are said to be "best" for the baby, but you need to get adequate rest as that is best for your baby, and you are not by any means going to harm your baby by sleeping in a certian position. You are only going to get more uncomfortable while you get further into your pregnancy so sleep how ever you feel comfortable now. A pillow between your legs works great for relieving some lower back pain as well. Good Luck!

I am not too far behind you, and i as well have been having a hard time sleeping at night, i'm so uncomfortable. Well i was told to take a pillow and place it between your knees or any where your comfortable, but between your legs. And i tried it for the first time last night and slept like a baby! in the middle of the night it will drive you nuts but just try to remember it is helping you sleep and you will sleep like you did before you were pregnant! lol good luck i hope this helps!

Unless your doctor specifically says you have to sleep on your left side, then don't worry about it. That's just what they have you do late in pregnancy when there are complications. I wouldn't do it until I was told to do so because if you do it all along and then suddenly there's a need to, would it make a difference and save your baby later? I am not sure. I'd ask your doctor, but you can sleep however you want to until your doctor advises you to sleep differently.

I was worried about the same issue (sleeping on my back), so I called my doctor and she said to sleep however you are most comfortable. You need your rest, your baby will be fine now matter how you sleep....no worries.

Just be comfortable -- I know lots of people who have trouble sleeping during their pregnancy but I never heard them say they only slept a certain way -- they just made sure that they were comfortable.
