Yogurt is not intended to use as a treatment for yeast infections. It only helps prevent a yeast infection because of the live cultures in it.

Many things top prescription drugs. Because they kill off the good bacteria also. ANTIBIOTICS WILL GIVE YOU A YEAST INFECTION.
You can take Acidophiles tablets. They contain the same live culture that is found in the yogurt.
You can actually douche about 3 times in a week with betadine or iodine douche to resolve the same problem.

Father In Law is a physician, and told me to get yogurt when I was pregnant and had an infection. I was doing other things too, but did use the yogurt (plain). I was drinking lots of water, danactive, and stopped eating sugar and starch for a bit. I think it worked.

I had Yeast infection just one month ago. Doctor precribed me Diflucan.. It didn't work, so I started to eat and apply plain yogurt. It worked! I don't think Yogurt cured it, but I'm sure it helped a lot!

Plain cool bio yogurt helps with yeast infections. It may not cure it completely but the bio contains bacteria that helps fight the fungus (yeast is a fungus) the cold yoghurt helps cool & soothe the itching. Its a bit messy though!

I don't think yogurt is supposed to be used as a treatment of yeast infection. It can be used to help stop the recurrence of yeast infection. Doctors have told me this.

i don't kno either, but just becuz researchers aern't sure doesn't mean it doesn't work. i eat yogurt to prevent it. there are things that work just as well as prescription meds. also don't douche. this can cause yeast infections, and push the infection further inside you.

It will provide you relief until you get to the doctor or the prescription starts to work. It was a doctor that recommended that to me years ago. She recommended it to relieve the itching until the antibiotics got a chance to do their job.
