No, the beauty of the constitution is our ability to amend it. The founding fathers were smart enough to realize that what they wrote would not be suitable forever and they gave us the ability to change it with the times. However the basic framework is still valid and does not need to be changed.

Overall, I would argue no. It still provides a solid framework for running a nation even as large as US 2006.

There are parts that are outdated. The electoral college, which was written to appease small states, is an anachronism. It is time to get rid of it, even though politically it will probably never happen.

The other major change we need is to formally abolish the death penalty. They should have done it in 1789, with the Eighth Amendment. But it is long overdue.

Nope, the Constitution is a very flexible document yet very stable. We have a good amount of checks and balances that usually work.
