I would say you could test in about 3 or 4 days and get an accurate result. With all of my pregnancies it was positive 2 days before my missed period.

Well the symptoms you are describing could be because you are pregnant. I have never been so sure I was having my period as the day I discovered I was pregnant for the first time....
You can test now using one of the more sensitive test such as First response, but the problem is that the more days you test before you are due the less accurate the test will be. I.e you can get a negative result even though you are pregnant because the pregnancy hormone levels just aren't very high yet. If you do get a negative result and do not have your period, try again. Nerveracking to wait I know, but even the doctor won't do anything but tell you to wait until after your period was due. And even then they like you waiting a week extra 'just to make sure' as my GP put it.
Good luck!

The fastest I know of is up to five days before your missed period. Therefore, you could probably test with a First Response pregnancy test today. However, the closer you are to the day your period is due (and even more so after your period is due) the more accurate the results will be. Buy a box with two or three and take one every day to see if the results change. First thing in the morning is the best time to take one. If you are unclear or if you get positive results go to your doctor and they'll test you. Your symptoms do sound like pregnancy symptoms, so I hope everything works out for you. Good luck!

How soon can I test? Well, first you gotta know how the test works. Briefly: the home pregnancy test (HPT) works by detecting a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG.) When an egg is fertilized, it takes about 6 to 12 days to implant in the uterus, and then it begins to secrete hCG. It takes another day or two for enough hCG to build up and make its way into your pee. So, generally speaking, the earliest you can expect a positive HPT is 8 days past ovulation ("DPO") and the latest would be about 16 DPO. It is possible to get a positive test earlier or later, but not as common. In my experience, if you use a sensitive "early" test (anything that detects 25 mIU/mL of hCG or less) you can test around 12-14 DPO and feel reasonably secure with your results (the later you test, the more secure you can feel in its accuracy.)
If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

You can use a first response and test one day before your missed period. But lemme give you the facts. Pregnancy tests go off HcG Levels, So even if says negative don't get discouraged. My friend was 3 months before she got a positive. And if after a few more tests, request a blood test from your doctor. If you are trying, take Prenatal Vitamins and Folic Acid. And even if you are not pregnant it is still good for getting your body healthier to carry a child to term. My guess is that you are pregnant, but if you aren't thats alright, start your vitamins and have fun trying. And make sure to relax! That can cause your period to be late, and u dont want to get excited about a false pregnant. Good Luck to you, and I hope I was helpful. Happy Trying!

Sorry to hear of your previous loss.
They say that you can test up to 4 days before your expected period. This will give normally, a 54% to 50% chance of a correct answer. (if you get what I mean).
But I would wait and see if you are a week late and then do a test, that way you have more of a chance of getting a result.
I know its hard to wait, believe me I'm there with you, but its best to avoid disappointment, been there, and now I don't ever want to do test again lol!.
By all means you can test tomorrow. You can use 'first response' they can test up to 4 days before you period is due.
Good luck hun, and hope you get the result than you want xxxxx

i am so sorry for your miscarriage, its really hard, the symptoms you describe could be pre-menstrually related but as you say you have never suffered before it can also indicate early signs of pregnancy, i am assuming that this is not your first period since the miscarriage, as you can suffer with a bad period after a miscarriage, i have been there too, i would do a test look for the ones from earliest date to try, digital one is good, it may still be a little too early to show a positive result but hopefully you wont have too much longer to wait i would suggest the earliest would be on the day you are due, good luck and my thoughts are with you, hope you get the result this moonth, if not have fun trying, it will happen soon enough,Emma

You can buy Clearblue tests that are quite accurate up to 4 days before your period is due, give it a couple more days (if you can) and test on day 25.
I know how hard it is to wait the 2 weeks, and have used plenty of tests far too early just because the waiting is unbearable.
I have just found Poundland do pregnancy tests for £1, they are not fancy, but if you are really bursting to test they are a good way of settling that need to know.
Good luck and plenty baby dust your way!

some preg tests are from 4 days before so thats tomorrow. slightly more money but worth the news - one way or another! i always bought a twin pack too,, as if its positive before 1st day of your period you will probably not trust it so cheaper to get twin pack to retest on period due date. (for record tho 2nd test always gave same result as first!)

You can test on CD 28. If you get a negative and you still don't get your period in 1 week, test again. If it's still negative, then in another week go to your doctor, or the local health department and get checked out.
Good luck. :)
