the old methods are always the best, however you can adapt these. As a personal trainer i get alot of clients with the same goals. try the following: Begin by: doing the situps on the gymball. this will work your muscles harder as you are tensing your abs the WHOLE time whilst trying to keep balance on it. Another fun exercise on the gym ball is balancing. to beable to balance on the ball you will need good core muscles. you can begin by just trying to sit on the ball with out holding on to anything or touching the floor, you can progress this by kneeling or even stading when you are super fit.

If you dont have a gym ball try doing sit ups as you normlly would. or the plank (start in a press up position but instead of putting hands on floor ue elbows, and hold it for 30 seconds x x6 times a day. you could also lie on your back and try to hold your feet 5-10 inches above ground level for 20 seconds. Your abdominals will be working really hard to try and keep your feet there (keep your arms by your side).

Good Luck, I'm sure your look fine!

Here is the deal, Diane,
Women are better off with a little fat bulge around their abdomen. But if you insist, do deep breathing exercises where you tense your abdominal muscles as you exhale.
Understand that that little bit of fat about your belly is part of your natural design. It has a purpose. By the time you get all skinny with a six-pack you will have handicapped other functions of the female body.

you exercise, and pray you have the genes for a six pack, not everyone does you know. There are lots of fit people out there, who don't have a nice six pack, and never will because it isn't in thier genetic code.
abdominal crunches are the best I know of for toning the belly.

If your 21 go down to the local liquor store and pick up a "six-pack," oh and you have to stick it under your shirt so don't get a cold one or you can do ab exorcises that use weights and get some that way

Crunches or planks. Planks do a lot more for your body, with them you may tighten your stomach but not get a six pack! So I would suggest do planks and crunches both to tighten and tone!!

Good luck & Hope it helps!! =)
