Lady Macbeth. She completely dominates her husband - the murder is basically her doing, even though he's the one with the knife.

shakespearean critics barbara everette and harold bloom believe the macbeth marriage (pre-duncan's murder) is the happiest of all of the bard's marriages. it is said that throughout the course of the play, macbeth loses his initial conscience while lady macbeth, beginning without one, develops a conscience. when the murder is committed, macbeth is disturbed and almost immobile at the slight of bloddy duncan. at this point lady m claims she could have killed duncan had he not resembled her father. their state after the murder? macbeth easily orders the death of the macduffs (he couldn't kill an old man, and now he's ok w/ killing children and wives?) and lady m. insists that light be near her always (insomnia? i thought you said a little water would clear you of this deed?). the letter that macbeth sends his wife shows that there are no secrets between this couple-- they can share everything before the murder. after the murder macbeth is not as ready to reveal his thoughts as freely as he did when he penned the letter, nor would lady m. be rational enough to read those thoughts. the murder brings the destruction of both-- they are equals and when they are destroyed, they crumble in chiasmus.

Lady Mac -- Macbeth is a weak man who allows his wife to convince him to commit a murder.

the finest attitude is to study it many times, every time imagining the scenes in diverse procedures until eventually you discover what that works for you. Then write about it. this can look too undemanding, yet that's what's sturdy about it. bear in options, your interpretation won't be able to be incorrect, see you later because that's appropriate to what occurs in the (portion of) the play, and that you'll be able to state your motives on your options in a logical and coherent way. 500 words isn't that lengthy (that's portion of the project)
