if i could travel faster than the speed of light then the things i saw would appear to be moving backward. it would appear i was traveling back in time but if i closed my eyes and light didn't exist how could time travel be possible . wouldn't the objects be in a different places as to what i seeing them . so i wouldn't really be moving back in time id just be seeing a rerun of my life and bumping into people that could't see me becasuse my lights in the past but matters in the future.... or am i crazy...

Light speed time travel?

nothing goes faster than the speed of light, light cant go the speed of light + 100Km/hr cause thats how fast the car goes they would have to increase the speed of light if that where so.

You've just discovered the glory behind quantum theory. Ever heard of Schroedinger's Cat? If not:
I'm going to put a cat into a perfectly sealed and perfectly opaque box with a vial of poison with a timed hammer on it that will break at after some random interval, releasing the poison and killing the cat. The moment that I close that box and can't see into it anymore, that cat is both alive and dead at the same time. I cannot prove either state since I cannot see into the box, therefore, it exists in both of those states at the same time. If you really want some fun, try thinking of this: that cat is in ALL states of existence AT THE SAME TIME.
Head hurting yet? Quantum is some pretty twisted stuff.
As for time travel - don't discount it yet. Relativity is all well and good, but don't forget neutrinos (yes, they're arguable, but I like them). Also, don't forget black holes and M-theory, going perpendicular to our own space time and 'walking' backward on a superstring/black hole/something like that.

Time goes slower as you travel faster. This has been proven with experiments using atomic clocks. So as you near light speed, time crawls for you, but not for those not travelling near light speed.
If you traveled near light speed for 1 year, and then came back to Earth which took another year, the folks on Earth will have aged 2 years while you didn't age but a few minutes. Therefore, you will have traveled 2 years into the future.
Problem is, you can't go back to the past. Time moves in a forward direction only.
And as others have stated here, there is no known way to travel faster than light. As your speed increases to near light speed your mass increases to the point it would take an infinite amount of energy to accelerate any faster.

Why do you think things would appear to be moving backwards? You're outpacing the light of events from your departure point. If the light cannot catch up with you, it disappears altogether.

Clearly, as your velocity approaches c, the ratio of Ts to tau (the factor in the denominator) grows large. Objective time passes more quickly relative to subjective time.
When v=c the denominator becomes zero, To blows up to infinity. This is why light is considered somewhat "ageless." To a particle of light in vacuum, there is no time or distance.
When v exceeds c the difference is negative. The radical evaluates to an imaginary number. Your realm (subjective reality) becomes passing strange.
Actually, you have other problems before you reach c. Mass increases, length contracts. Before c your personal escape velocity exceeds light--you enter your own schwarzchild radius or "pinch off from the rest of the universe," in essence becoming a black hole.
With regards to time travel--the simple answer is that we are all time travelers, sedately moving on into the future all at the relative rate. To increase your speed through time all you must do, as you correctly guessed, is increase your actual velocity with respect to someone else.
Backwards time travel does not appear to be possible. How much energy would be required to restore the universe to a prior state?
It might be possible to slip "sideways" through time, visiting universes similar to some prior version of our own.

The explainations needed to address your senario are hundreds of pages long, but the short answer is that you cannot go faster than the speed of light.
update: light coming off a car going 100km/H does not travel at light speed +100km/hour. Light travels at the same rate independant of the velocity of its source.

You can't use the Theory of Relativity and violate at the same time. All of this time travel is based on Relativity, and going faster than light is impossible according to it.

everything's possible...but.... i think you know that the speed of the light is relative. if you're in a car but you don't move the speed of the light is going to be the one you know... but if you're moving then the light speed will be "the speed of the car + the speed of the light you know">(greater)light speed that we know.
if you're moving with the light speed you'll see that everything is moving with a speed greater than the light speed....so....i hope you understand....
