No, I would find that very hard to deal with and would have to ask myself very seriously if I could continue living with that person, you can't stay in love with someone who threatens to harm themselves if you walk out the door, what a cloud to live under that would be.

Yep...really sad actually, grandma was really old and afraid of staying at home when my mom and I had to go on a trip, so she laid on top of her teeth to leave a mark on her back so that when we all woke up we saw it and thought that she had "internal injuries" or something...except she forgot to remove her teeth so when we got there to say goodbye we all laughed our heads off, including her.

He threatened to cut his wrist if I left him and he had a knife to them but he just went crazy and stabbed the wall. But I talked to him recently and he is so unhappy now in his current relationship he admitted to cutting his arm b/c he is with a psycho and now regrets screwing me over for her.

Lots of people. My older sis has done it three times... just glad the things she did weren't fatal cos I love her to bits. Shes much better now :)

yes, when I wanted to go to university in the city, my mother attempted suicide and cut her thumb off with an ax to try to guilt me into staying to keep taking care of her. It didn't work, she'd treated me too badly for too long for me to have pity and lose my chance at life...

I know someone who was looking for a gun or for some rope to kill themselves because I wanted to leave. they were too drunk and couldn't find the stuff.

my ex said she'd stop eating and take an overdose... it put me in a difficult situation as she'd previously twice been hospitalised for anorexia before she met me... not cool.
