I'm just wondering how they get to work and get benefits even though they aren't in danger in their own countries so they aren't Asylym seekers. This is by no means racist, it just interests me how other countries aren't let into the U.k. unless they have £1000's in their bank account and won't claim any benefits.

I'm from a common wealth country and I can't stay in the UK. Britain has no duty to me in any form.

If you look at the education of South Asian immigrants, you will see they are (for the most part) highly qualified doctors, lawyers, businesspeople and scientists.

Everyone wants an Indian/Pakistani doctor!

Because 'they' contribute so much to the economy.
Why assume that some of 'them' are not asylum seekers. There are asylum seekers from Asian countries (it's a big area, with lots of different countries).
And one of the other answerers said it: UK invites Asians here because of professional and entrepreneurial skills.

Well! Paper marriages where british (mostly man) can earn a lot.

2nd, they enter into UK as workers and wait for four or five years to become british citizen.

3rd, dont tell anybody (but everybody knows), any persons can legally enter UK and work for two years waiting for the
result of asylum application?

4th, british govt gifted passports to certain british colonies such as hong kong. Yes, it is a gift which represents money and house.

well one good scam they have going besides arranged marriages. is your local Indian takeaway/restaurant, most of these by the way are not true Indian but from other countries. well they advertise a job vacancy with job seeker plus and as curry chefs are not two a penny and not many non Asian people have the skill to cook so called Indian food. this leaves them free to then bring over people from their country,, namely more of the family and all that it entails. vicious circle.

They are claiming to be asylum seekers. In Ireland for instance, they are paid at the top rates of benefits, get state of the art housing paid for by the taxpayer, get a giro for several thousand euro to buy a car because they claim people are being racist towards them on public transport, then the vast majority drive the car without ins. etc. I would call them economic migrants.

You need to go and read up on the British Empire and the Commonwealth. Only when you know the history of our country will you understand why these fellow members of our commonwealth are welcome in our country. In essence they are our history and we have a duty of care to them. They are part of what was the Great British Empire.. The biggest in the world. This is also part of the reason for the special relationship between the UK and the USA.

Because this country is so stupid that every other country consider us to be a soft touch. Why do you think the French put a centre for asylum seekers near to the channel tunnel? obviously so that they can escape over to here, thus relieving the French of the drain on French society.

They send a relative over, they open a corner shop, then invite their entire family over to help run it.
Is that racist?
