the traffic used to stress me more than my work ... then i found books on tape: I can rent them for free (!) @ the local library and listening to a good book keeps me from getting "road rage" and wanting to run over somebody LOL

I live in northern Virginia and I fight nasty traffic both to work and home. We are constantly told by our local newscasters that our traffic is the second worse in the country (second only to Los Angeles). Our "rush hour" here starts at 3pm and ends after 8pm.
As an example it is 15 miles door to door from my house to my office building. It takes me 50 minutes in the morning and at least an hour in the evening and that is not even "peak" times.
Yeah, it sucks.

No, usually after a 10 - 12 hour day, the drive home is rather peaceful

No the traffic I drive through is filled with respectable people, no nasty people, they just drive to slow.

The only bad road I face is the one I am turning out of the parking lot onto. Doesn't matter which way I go. I take the first opening I get drive one block and get the hell off of this street. After that it is smooth sailing.

Nope, my apartment is less than a mile from my workplace. I used to be stuck in stop-and-go traffic when I had my previous job. Fun stuff.
