I am due in May. I have been waking up more and more at night and can't go back to sleep due to very strong sharp leg and hip pain. I have tried taking Tylenol before sleeping and I still wake up with them. If i take anything while in pain I feel very groggy in the morning.I've tried stretching up to 2 twice a day and even walking it still doesn't help. This is #4 for me and never had this with the first 3 so it's new to me. What can I do?

I went through the same thing, try a body pillow between your legs at night. It helps, but not all the way but its better then nothing at all.

I am 28 weeks pregnant and i have that same problem leg cramp and hip pain. what I usually do is take a nice warm bath to relax my muscle before i go to bed. and if you are married or with someone let them massage your legs for about a good half hour it really helps stimulate your muscle and once in bed put a pillow between your leg and lay on your side. I know it seems like alot but, it really do me some justice just about every night.

good luck hope this work for you too.

I am having the same problem, it has happened a few nights now, I jsut asked a question about it earlier. It seems normal I guess our hips are separating for the upcoming birth. I have tried the pillow between my legs and it does not help either. Warm baths before bed maybe, that is what people suggested to me.

sounds like charlie horses (muscle contractions) i had them really bad with my daughter there really isn't much you can do it is your hormones causing them Try elevating your feet while you sleep it may help a little. keep taking the tylenol before bed so they do not get any worse. Good luck.
