I know that your GCSE choices probably seem like the most importnat thing in the world right now but the subjects you choose will not have too much of an effect on your future career choice.

Try to choose subjects that you enjoy as you will have a better chance of gaining a good grade. you can even afford to have an enjoyable subject such as PE, Drama etc.

A levels are more important as your subjects and grades will determine what university course you get accepted for. So if there is any particular subject you will want to study for Alevel you will be best choosing that at GCSE level if possible to give you a good platform.

Recommended subjects for a level include...politics, Business, Psychology, Any science, Any language. Basically anything which shows that you are academically equipped to cope with studying a law degree.

My advice is dont worry about it too much yet at GCSE level. Your GCSEs are just to find out if you are able to go onto A level. Pick your A levels carefully, but make sure you choose subjects which you will be able to obtain a good grade in. Start reseaching university courses once you start sixth from and see what sort of subjects and grades they demand.

Do a good mix of GCSE's, if you are only just sitting them for the first time you have plenty of time to work on what you want to do.

When I sat my GCSE's I wanted to be a journalist, but after A Levels decided that I wanted to do a more general job. Don't try to specialise too early as you'll limit your choices later on if you decide to do something else.
