Put in a Windows XP CD, reboot the computer, boot from CD, format the drive.
If you don't have an XP CD:
Click Start, Go to Run, type cmd, press enter.
In the cmd box, type format c:\.
This formats the ENTIRE drive completely. Save and backup all files before doing this.

Well, that is kinda simple, if u are running dual boot u just have to find the OS that you want to remove. Meaning if your C drive partition, then it is easy. Now if u have it all bunched together then u are in trouble.
1: u can erase the whole C drive and start over with a fresh/clean install.
2: just install 2000 and it will install over XP

presuming your using a dual boot you just delete the windows folder that is for xp and boot to win2000 each time, you would have to do this from within win 2000 as you cant delete windows xp while running xp ofcourse.

Use Partitionlogic.
Also, get UBUNTU (or XUBUNTU if your computer has less than 256MB of RAM).
It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system.
You can explore it from the "LIVE CD".
It's easy to install and use. You can dual boot it with other operating systems.
Once you have it installed, you gain access to thousands of free programs created by the open source community. There is excellent support - see the WIKI starter guide, and the Linux forums.
Always back up your data before making changes to your computer.
