Most of the times in dreams people are irrelevant, they are just the embodiment of an emotion. So its possible that your daughter and the other children represent an emotion you have to her, such as love or innocence, or even youth. The depiction seems as if you are concerned for that emotion, and that it runs rampant despite your attempts to control it. The truck likely just represents danger, because big trucks are scarier than cars or motorcycles. So your fearing that your emotion will be in danger despite your control, yet you know that it will be fine in the end.. just a thought.

Here is what I think: First, there are endless numbers of books whose subjects are dream interpretation, but I have not found any particularly enlightening; still, if you want, you can consult one for "expert" insight. Second, there is an institute for the study of lucid dreaming which term can be defined essentially as the ability to realize that you are dreaming while you are dreaming, thus enabling you to control or influence your dreams. Dreams are actually mental activity occurring upon the subconscious level as you sleep. I tend to attribute the dream you are describing as somewhat of a lucid dream: perhaps originally your subconscious was reflecting your concerns or anxieties, even fears for your child. She may be occasionally disobedient or you may frequently warn her of dangers, yet still be afraid that she will not heed you, thus in your dream you were envisioning your most dreaded fear manifesting. Now, for the lucidity; your conscious control begins to surface and to manipulate your dream, sparing you the hideous fate of realizing (if only on the dream level) your deepest fears for your little girl, thereby allowing her to reach the safety of the other side of the street unharmed. I do not believe that dreams are premonitions; for the most part they are healthy and are necessary to our well-being. So long as your daughter escaped unscathed in your reverie, you can simply forget it in my opinion or otherwise regard it as a cautionary tale...

dreams are issues that the brain wants to resolve and thinks things thru. Perhaps your brain told you that your daughter knows how to cross the street.

Do you overprotect your daughter? To me this seems that you are preoccupied with worry of something bad happening to her, but your subconscious is telling you that she will be okay.

Ask God for a revelation of that dream.
