An asexual person is someone who is not attracted to the idea of having sex with anyone. This is different from a celibate person in that celibacy implies only a choice in behavior. An asexual person does not even feel the attraction in the first place.

Regular earth worms are asexual. Asexual means that you have both male and female genitalia. On the same note, you cannot get yourself pregnant! You would still have to have a physical sexual contact with another being like yourself. Hermaphrodite's on the other hand not only have both sets of genitals, they can also breed by themselves! Talk about leaving all the fun out of reproduction!
