Who is right in the new lawsuit?

I think Viacom is. The programs that are being put up on YouTube are being put there by users, not Viacom, the rightful and legal owners of those programs.

Most TV programs and movies have very fine print at the end of their ending credits stating that the program or movie is not to be used by anyone without the full authorization of the rights holder and posting content at YouTube is a violation of that, whether they're cable programs or regular TV shows.

You know copyrights are violated and it is a good thing that Viacom is doing this. The people that came up with the idea for youtube made tons of money off of other peoples videos this is not right. Their idea was not that clever or origional. IfI were Viacom I would do the same.
