Is it normal for a 33 year old married woman who has never had a child and is trying desperately to do so after 5 years of marriage, to have lots of blood clots during a period? I am having this problem and it is scaring me because I don't know why this is happening or what it means. Sometimes I get paranoid and think the clots are bits of a fetus in me that wasn't completely formed. i hate the sight of these clots and would appreciate any answers I can get.
thanks

I know exactly how you feel but it is not usual to have blood clots during a period but you should also consult the doctor to see if every thing is normal but important this is that don't take stress and don't think about these things, taking stress can also decrease the chances of getting pregnant even if everything is normal, talk to your doctor if the problem persist and just have faith, you are not alone in this boat , there are so many people who are trying to have a baby but may be the time is not right for them:) i know so many people who had babies after trying so hard, recently my aunt delivered a very cute child after ten years of the marriage:) so just don't b scared and don't loose hope, take care of yoyourself and keep urself happy that's really important. All the best:)

you should definitely go see your doctor especially if you have a lot of painfull cramps when you are having this clotting i had a miscarriage 2 1/2 years ago i will never forget it i had lots of big clots and tons of cramping i was only 6 weeks and i could only lay there and cry then i went to the doctors after i was done bleeding and had to have an internal exam and an ultrasound my doctor said everything had cleaned itself out so i didn't need a d&c but if you have this every month you may need one you really need to talk to your doctor good luck hope this helps and try to keep your spirits up!!

it's normal when you have your period, you get blood clots discharge. It usually happens to me for a couple of days and then it gets lighter toward the end. As long as you don't get heavy cramps or period that last longer that it should normarlly, then you should be fine. Otherwise, if you are still worry, talk to your doctor.
