Animal testing is the basis for almost every single major medical advance of the last century. Without animal testing 10% of our children would die before reaching age five and the average life expectancy of a human being would be 20 years shorter. You gripe about how bad it is but I can 100% guarantee that you use products everyday that have benefited from animal research . If you've ever taken a medication thank animal testing. If you've ever had a surgical procedure thank animal testing. If anyone in your family or anyone you care about has ever lived past the age of sixty you should thank animal testing. The first seven heart transplant patients died, they were dogs. The first human heart transplant patient lived and today the procedure saves the lives of thousands of people of all ages every year. Animal testing makes our current quality of life possible. I wouldn't want to live in a world without animal testing and neither should you.

yeah, you've obviously researched this topic I see....
Just a thought for you. You're female yes? You wear make up, yes? I assume you buy make up that hasn't been tested on animals. Well how do you reckon these companies know the ingrediants they use don't have an adverse affect on humans? Well it's because it's of previous tests that other companies have done and made this information available to other companies. So your animal testing free make up is not so much animal testing free as you think...

I don't think it's wrong at all. I'd rather have a few lab rats die from testing potential cures for diseases than have people die or suffer from those diseases.

That animal testing you are so against is the main reason you don't have polio or any other fatal disease.
