thats some pretty touchy territory. you would be opening yourself to a lot of legal problems, IF you didnt get caught and prosecuted by immigration. even if you did get that person residency, youd have to be married for a couple of years. wouldnt you want to be married to someone else? also, at the end of this fakie marriage, youd have to get a divorce, where a judge is going to give that person half of your stuff. not a smart idea at all. there is no sum of money that would make me do it. any money made the easy way goes just as fast. also, think of the people tied to this transaction. probably not very nice respectable people. maybe the kind who would blackmale you, rob you, harrass you, smuggle drugs, etc. dont do it.

There is no way I would do that. I happen to be married to an immigrant of West African descent. I love him very much and when I married him it was for real. The problem for marrying an immigrant for money is... You don't know who you are bringing into our country. This person could be a murderer.. or a rapist or a bank robber. Do you really think any amount of money is worth jeopardizing your fellow Americans' lives. You need to think about that one... you may be biting off more than you can chew...
BTW... The INS will check on this persons status within a years time. If the marriage is found to be a sham... not only will the person be charged and deported... you wil go to jail for falsifying government documents. Those documents cost money and take a lot of time. Marrying am immigrant is no guarantee they will be allowed to stay anyway... Think hard Honeychild... Look at what you are risking..

It would have to be a pretty big amount of money, but if you're single, and still can see other people after this marriage, then "heck yeah". Why not? People marry for the wrong reason all the time, so why not get paid for it.

I knew this chick that did that for this guy - it was weird cuz i kinda liked her. Im not sure what she got outta the deal or how it was arranged but i think she regretted it cuz the guy would come around and she didnt want to have anything to do with him i think.

You could get yourself in alot of legal trouble. The government doesn't look kindly on this kind of fraud, have you seen the movie "Green Card"?

it would have to be worth your time and other legal matters. You could probably even get into big federal trouble if you got caught somehow. It would have to be alot of $ to be worth all that.
