When my son turns on his PSP the power light comes on for a few seconds then turns itself off. Does anyone know why?

Thanks for your answers but have already tried that didn't work. Son has had his PSP since it was launched.

If your son has had it since launch day maybe the battery has had it. Try ebay and get a cheap new battery. Search for Psp batteries on the site.

I have the same problem with mine,I just bought it today and is the same thing but mine doesn't turn on for nothing. In my opinion PSP is a waste of money I have change mine three times this is going to be the fourth and I can get one that works. So if you know why they do that please let me know.

dats wen the battery iz out tell him 2 charge it dat happens 2 mine the green light goes on (no screen) n then in 5 seconds goes off tell him 2 charge it gud luck

it happens on mine when its run out of battery. try charging it. or even turning it on with the charger plugged in. it could be the battery.
