Not so much that he was traded (although I am pissed about that), it's that the Bears gained pretty much nothing in trading him, it was just a dump and run.
I just hope that Jerry Angelo knows something that no one else knows, otherwise....LYNCH HIM !!!
Cedric Benson is NOT the man, and won't be the man. He needs another RB to spell him (or vice versa), and while Adrian Peterson is a good back and a great special teams player he might not be the answer either.

i am. I cant believe our Bears are going to ruin their Super Bowl chances by being so dang cheap. If I had some money, Id buy the Bears and stop this madness. Jones was our best offensive player, and my favorite Bear. I dont doubt Benson, but that running attack was second only to LaDainian Tomlinson and Michael Turner. On top of that, we didnt even get anything for Jones, besides a measly 2nd round pick.

Um... I'm a Colts fan... well.. colts are #1 in my book.. then bears.. then jets...
what's the problem??? he already gets millions... he's more priveleged than 70% of the country... he doesn't deserve more money.. he's fine where he is... But i'm kinda happy that they got rid of him..;
1. He's an idiot and would just cause problems
2. That means Benson's going to get the load, who is a better RB than Jones.
3. Jones is still a good RB.. the Jets get a top RB...
i don't see a problem with this at all

I definately question that strategy. But i feel that it actually comes down to salary cap space. They didnt really get anything for him. They received the jets 2nd rd pick and sent thomas jones and the bears 2nd round pick to the jets. It seems to me that benson should have been traded. Thomas jones was tough and durable. Thomas jones missed 6 games last year with a knee injury, the early part of this year with a shoulder injury while thomas jones seemed to play hurt. and he did it very well. i say make him the franchise player and trade lance briggs

Yes, I am pissed about it, but it had to happen sometime. Cedric Benson was drafted fourth overall, and has to be paid as such. There just isn't enough money to go around to be able to allocate big money to two players at one position (see the Bears' current situation at linebacker). I am very upset that all they got in return was to move up in the second round of the draft. Big whoop. Here's hoping the Bears don't end up being just another Super Bowl loser that fails to make the playoffs the next year.

Leave it to a Jests fan to fear Miami's geriatric defense.
In any case, I'm very unhappy. I like seeing the Jests get SCREWED, not do the screwing over! Bad Bears! Oh well, we'll manage just fine after another defensive draft, and A-Train'll probably be up for the Jests now as much as Willis was, if not more, so it's not all bad. With Duckarmington as their QB, all we have to do is put eight guys in the box, he can't throw farther than that....

They shouldve paid him but him and Lance Briggs are big cry babies.. They are lucky they play in an organization with such talented athletes and people all over the world watch you. I mean if I played in the NFL I would just ask for a little money, anything would be fine, he should be lucky he is in the NFL.
