Is there a way you can secure a spot on your computer, where you would need a code,?

I want to write a story in time, but I don't want my girlfriend to have acess to the story, so if theirs any one that couldwalk me through the process

Either in a Folder or in a file, Activate a Password
In a folder, right mouse click and an option to Place a Password will be available under Security.
Or, in word, got to Tools, Then Protect Document,
Or, more commonly, when you SAVE AS the File, Look Under Details, go to Advanced, and it should have a Password Protect Option for locking down the File.... and Make something fairly HARD to guess
