If I were more accepting of my pain….how would you finish this sentence?

If I were more accepting of my pain, I would be able to smile & admire the beauty of the setting sun and laugh as the wind softly tickled my ears and be able to write long personal letters to my loved ones telling them how special they make me feel.

...I'd say "ouch" less often.
