Recently gave my niece an engraved silver compact mirror saying "Happy 18th Birthday", she was absolutely delighted. It's something that she'll use everyday, it personal and because I chose a simple design it goes with anything and everything. Unlike the watch given to her from another auntie that is not her style and she going to swap it or may possibly have to keep it in a box to wear when aunty comes to visit (that's what her mum is telling her).
Try to get something personal to her that also recognising her coming of age - maybe a champagne flute and bottle of bubbly!
