I would take a job wherever you can get it, just for experience. Then the sports shop will be more likely to take you. I got a job at 14 at a vets office. Also at 16 I worked on a farm. It might not be what you want to do, but most employers just want proof that your a reliable worker.

my recomendation
Wrong sector
Aim at food establishments at the mall who welcome part time help, stores frequented by people your age at the mall or any other shopping center, delivering newspapers, mowing lawn, and or walking pets.
Remember it's a start, your resume will grow and in time you will be able to reach new heights

Check your local newspaper ads or see your local bulletin at school, in the library, or network (talk) and ask your friends. That's how I was able to find and work my first job at 13!

Get a membership. Sorry, but there are labor laws and you cannot get a job til you are 16 with the proper paper work and parents' concent. How about cutting grass?
