While I'm sure some will say it is an invasion of privacy, I support it. I want to know my child is safe at school. If that means patting the kids down to make sure that no one has brought a weapon into the school, then so be it. If your child is behaving, there should be nothing in the locker to worry about. When they search the lockers they don't display the contents for everyone to see. It is done while the students are in class. It is unfortunate that a few bad apples should spoil it for everyone else, but I'm sure we can all agree that we want our children safe at school.

You mean, like at a school?

I think, when there is a reasonable suspicion of a harmful or illegal substance or material, then a search of a specific locker is warranted.

The same holds true for lockers at the work place or a public gym. However, to make random searches without a search warrant, the owner's permission, or reasonable suspicion, I think is a violation of one's rights to privacy.

Locker searches in schools produce a lot of bad stuff. Drugs, guns etc. I say have them to protect a lot of law abiding kids. And they are legal no matter what Jack thinks.

Good, kids need to be supervised. Only those who have something to hide would have a problem with the searches.

the only reason i will think of of is invasion of privateness, yet than you are able to argue the reality that it rather is accomplished to be sure the protection of others. this is a gray section, how a techniques are authority figures prepared to bypass, below the guise that they try to guard us. i in my view do not think of it rather is this form of undesirable thought, yet in spite of this I even have not something to cover.

It depends on the situation. If there's reason and evidence, then it's okay. If it's random and based on whim, then it's an invasion of privacy.

absolutely bad because it violates privacy unless the student is rumored to have a weapon stored there.
