I'm a good speller, but I still use it when I have some uncommon words like debatable, fluorescent, etc.
I agree that it is really inconsiderate to use a tool that can improve your communications, when it is provided for free! Questions and answers with bad spelling and grammar undermine a person's credibility and education.

I have an interesting (real) story for you. I have been an English major for most of my life, My sisters can tell you that growing up, at age 3, I would read the comics out of the newspapers to them and explain the joke or satire.
But, Even with my affinity for English, I generally know the second I make an error in my typing and pause to correct it. I took typing in high school, graduated in 1975, with 38 wpm. I have been to three different typing classes since then and still type 38 words a minute. and I still use the spell check. With the fancy keyboards, so sensitive to touch, remember the old typewriters you had to pound the keys to get an impression, that I never know for sure that I have not accidentally caused three 'I's in one word. I agree, Spell check was made to be used, besides you (they) might even learn a few words. And if it says no errors, kudos.

Heck, some of the questions are undecipherable! I use spellcheck but I know it's not foolproof so I re-read also. I believe it is the fashion among the young nowadays to spell and/or type poorly.

I use it faithfully, however I have found that when I leave lengthy answers it just gets stuck and sits there, so I have to cancel the spell check so that I can post my answer.

because of the fact human beings are stupid. You lined. you ought to not recognize the version between "your" and "you're". you're provided spell verify yet you apart from would would desire to recognize no count if to apply to, 2, or too. you apart from would lined a number of typos (?) except you certainly do not recognize a thank you to spell "needless to say" or "using". you apart from would would desire to have typed "because it shows" or "letters; it shows"... so... yet in fact I believe you. suited spelling/grammar is substantial.
